Love the bike. Great job restoring it. Just wondering though, in your "as purchased" photo it has an 1989 seat. The 1988 CR seats had "Honda" on them. What's going on with the date? Are you sure it's not an 1989 CR? BTW I think were better then the 88's IMO. I had a 87 CR 250 and 500 that I raced back in the day.

Thanks for your comments. The seat cover on the before bike is a Ceet brand cover. In 88 the pipe still ran high. So the attached reservoir had to be located away from that area. In 89 they moved the pipe lower and started having the reservoir on the left side high. This of course after they started attaching it directly to the shock. Which they continued from 88 onward.
